It seems as if China will ignore the ruling. There are many contradictions in their policies. I nean they sign a Climate accord and then wreck coral islands. They are also over fishing and keen on drilling. Irrespective if they have sovereignty or not they are breaking their own promises. I wonder however what exactly is there military intention. If they stay put on the islands they will gain rights of possession but over years they will argue that nearby waters…and land. Also strategically and it is rather ominous. They are encircling Taiwan and this would be the crown jewel. They can blockade the US Pacific Fleet. missiles can be launched from the islands.
